Bali, the start of the On Credit journey. This photo was taken in Kuta, May 04. I am holding up my ANZ Rewards card, which has an $14,000 credit limit. Today, the card has blown out to $18,000, totally maxed out which I am paying back at an 18.50% interest rate. I lose about $200 a month in interest on that card... We have had some great times. Josh Lewan and I on a mission in downtown Brooklyn, New York in September. Everywhere we went, we'd get comments like "surf's up dude" or "cowabunga" and "their is no surf in NY"... But there is a little bit! This photo to me sums up what On Credit is about: On a mission, with board in arm walking into the unknown...

From left: Me, Jeff (Jazy) Williams and Tim Cochran, up to Kuta antics in Bali.
I had a week in Bali warming up for the 5 month On Credit trip. The surf for this trip was terrible, but it's the company you keep that makes the adventure!
I think that was the night of Tim's birthday, before the Vodka entered our systems.

Another angle of the "Vitron Van" in the Algarve, Portugal. That's Yerin Brown having a snooze whilst being covered in dust. The Algarve is very dry, the hot winds from land meet the cool waters of the shoreline. A unique place to spend 8 day refined to a van!

From left: Yerin Brown, Jarrad Sullivan, Event Organiser, Myself, Anthony Walsh and Josh Kerr. Post celebrations after Yerin's virgin WQS win in Las Palmas, Canary Islands, October 2004.

Danny Salfield and i enjoying a pint of beer in Richmond, London in July.
Danny is from Byron Bay and is one of my best friends. I stayed with him whilst he was living there for a year.
Therefore, surfers can live in London, we just tend to go a little crazy!

Amidst a mix! On location in my bedroom/garage during the making of On Credit. To create the soundtrack, I'd use a midi keyboard and a software program called Reason, as well as Garageband for sampling my guitar playing and vocals. The soundtrack took three months to compose, creating 33 songs for On Credit.

Looking rather shocked in the back of the "Vitron Van" in the Algarve, Portugal. Yerin Brown and myself spent a week sleeping in boardbags, camping out at the beach in a car. The surf for the event was 1ft, with 30 degree days and dust storms leaving us coated in muck. Memories money can't buy!

In the Swiss Alps. This point was over 3000mts above see level, the highest I have ever been. Switzerland is so beautiful it's almost surreal, it's liking looking at the most perfect picture that you can touch... A magic place!

El Teide Volcano, Tenerife, Canary Islands. Accending to the top was one fo the most amazing experiences I have ever had!
El Teide stands at 3718mts above sea level and as we found out, you can get within 300mts of the summit, but any further and you will need government papers... What a shitter!

The Mullet! What else needs to be said!
Photo taken on Lanzarote, Canary Islands. The boys and I thought we would go some bad haircuts for a laugh. The Mullet helped me competitively too, I won $1000US and earned 600WQS points.

Me in action at the 3star Rip Curl Dan Heritage Memorial, Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA in October. This was my best result of my trip, making the Quarter Finals and earning a few dollars to continue the journey. Atlantic City itself is a gambling town, that may have had something to do with the success I had, due the gambles I'd made till then.

Summer in France, Grand Plage, Biarritz, August. Before 10am the beach is empty and quiet, after that until 7pm, it's packed to capacity! Let the party begin!

To get away from the contest repitition, I spent 4 days in Switzerland to meet my relatives. This photo was taken in Mainau, a flower park that's actually in Germany. I never thought that I'd end up looking at flowers during the trip. The world is full of surprises!

Myself, Udi Shvekey (middle) and Koen Donker, on location at the SAE studios in Byron Bay. The boys donated their time for free to post produce On Credit.
