Welcome to 'On Credit'. A story of aspiring Pro Surfer Johnny
Abegg, who after two years of persistence on WQS, and with no financial
sponsor, is faced with a 5 month journey, armed with 4 credit cards and
a $21,000AUD debt... Only $3000 remains until he maxes those cards out!
So let the journey begin, following a surfing circuit called the World
Qualifying Series. Taking it's competitors to beaches far and wide,
to places like Brazil, Europe, USA, Maldives, Canary Islands and South
Africa in pursuit of the surfing dream.
Yet in living the dream, another one may awaken. Finding yourself on the
worldwide rollercoaster, being faced with the travelling adversities and
worldly unknowns. Discovering places you never knew existed, to meeting
new people, cultures and destinations of your wildest dreams. Your only
'comfort' is in your trusty handycam and the escalating credit
card bills...
The pressures of financial hardship, reflecting in your competitive triumphs
and woes. At times alone, yet finding comfort in your zany travel partners.
